you have a TWO WEEK winter vacation, and after the thrill of sleeping in is over, you can come to the Library to occupy some time. right now, we have two events scheduled that you can be involved in.
the first one is a kids' party on monday, 22 december from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. we'll need some help running the craft.
the second is family game day on monday, 29 december from 1 to 4 pm. you can bring your family and friends to play board games and DDR and what have you.
call or drop by the Library if you want to help or attend!

we'll celebrate the end of summer (oh, stop crying) with a tacos 'n' game night.
there'll be board games and DDR, and if you have a game system and mulitplayer games suitable for a library environment (in other words, no blowing people to smithereens or engaging in, ahem, lewd conduct), bring 'em on by.

the next meeting of the bookies is wednesday, march 26 from 6:30 - 8:00 (as usual). If you haven't been to a meeting yet (and are in grade 5 or up), now is the time! We always have fun!
last night 6 kids got together at the library to continue preparing for the valentine's party. we had a blast! there was music, there were cookies and drinks - and LOTS of conversation. we'd love to see you next wednesday (feb. 6th) for more fun.
The Bookies are preparing and presenting a Valentine's craft program for kids in preschool through grade 3 at both West Barnstable (Whelden) Library and here at MMPL. If you want to help prepare craft materials, come to MMPL on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 6:30. We'll be here until 8:00.
Wow, we're really busy. There were 16 kids at the January 9th meeting. We've planned a game night which will be held on Friday, Feb. 8 from 7:00 - 10:00. Everyone in grades 5 and up is welcome. There will be Dance Dance Revolution, 2 other game systems with controllers and board games. Please let us know if you plan to attend so that we can plan enough food.
just a quick update: the YA group has named itself "the bookies." no, there's no gambling involved, but there WILL be a whole lot of activity. check back to see what the group will be doing next!
